This place is awesome. I started the Fight Fit challenge a little over a month ago and love it!! The workouts are always something new and fun. Everyone is so encouraging and friendly. I love coming to class everyday!! I would highly recommend this place

Had a chance to roll with them during their bjj open mat on my way through town; Coach Steph was incredibly welcoming and I found myself scrambling to keep up with his team's exceptional skills. I'd recommend this gym to anyone: friendly, skilled, and clean!

The Komodo Academy is amazing Jiu jitsu, kick boxing and fitness school with amazing instructors, and students.

I been there for 2 years and it is like my second family. Sensei Stephan, Debbie, and Jen are amazing people with extraordinary skills and personality that makes the experience exceptional for anyone that comes through those doors.

I highly recommend this school for anyone looking to try Jiu jitsu, kicking boxing or/and fitness program.

Can small framed adult study Jiu-Jitsu?

I don’t have any martial arts experience. Can I take Hokoturyu Ju-Jutsu?
Yes, you don’t need experience to take Jiu-Jitsu classes. There are levels / belts in Jiu-jitsu just as there are in any martial arts discipline, so you’ll start at the bottom and work your way up.
Is there a belt system in Jiu-Jitsu?
Yes, there are five levels: White, Blue, Purple, Brown and Black. You’ll have to test at each level before advancing to the next.
